Almost Twenty

As I reach the end of the most important section of my life, I wonder if I am getting wiser or just older. What have I learnt in the past twenty years? Or more importantly, what have I accomplished? (twenty, wow… it feels so weird saying that for the first time.) Speaking of accomplishments, I think that I’ve done rather good compared to many other teens. I’ve made a name for myself for a few things including design and publication; made acquaintance of some very good people, made my family proud and not to mention I have friends who care for me. Or so I hope…

Age… I hope that it is just a number although I do wonder how many people will start to take me more seriously now that I am no longer a teen. Perhaps people do become wiser when they wake up one morning (or afternoon in my case) and realise that they just turned another decade older.

Now if only the people that I care about remember the day… I don’t care for presents, all I ask for is for those I love to love me back, unconditionally.
