Wow, that was an intense episode of Private Practice. I don’t think we’ve had one since the season 2 finale, which had me in tears all the way through.
It wasn’t just the Maya story that was intense, but also Violet’s side-story. I am glad that we’re working through her issues with the child. I always thought it was somewhat unusual for someone to just give up a child like that and never look back. Violet has been my favourite character (besides Addison of course) for some time now. I think that her character is more developed and has more dimensions than anyone else’s.
I am still a little mad at Coop for dumping Charlotte like that. I don’t blame her for wanting to put her past behind her and he totally overreacted in the previous episodes.
Last week when Mark Sloan suggested moving to LA to work with Addison, I must say that I was rather excited and was a little disappointed when he didn’t. Perhaps this is a future story for Grey’s + Private? I for one would love to see Mark and Addison reunited. They both scream sex!
Signing off about S03E12 ‘Best Laid Plans’.
PS: Naomi was absolutely brilliant!

In the middle of watching Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice and here’s the score…
First off, the episode started off with a rather heated and unusual argument between Derek and Meredith but it turned out to be rather cute!
The ‘heated’ scene between Calli and Arizona was well executed; we haven’t seen that in a while. Calli being a baby was adorable.
Loved the ‘Twisted Sisters’ remark. That was very fitting!
I missed Izzie when she was gone but now that she is somewhat back, I don’t remember why I missed her. Her character has changed way too much because of what she has gone through in the past few months. Having said that though, the confrontation scene between her and Alex in the CAT scan room was very well done.
Derek being fierce and blackmailing Meredith was actually pretty cool. I haven’t seen him that worked up for a while.
It was amazing to see Alex come over to the ‘other side’ with his lovey dovey scene with Izzie but its twist was somewhat unexpected; although I do see his point.
Special shoutouts to Christina of course… she’s always my hero!
Choosing passion and ambition over love… who would have thought that the Grey Writers would make that look like the right thing?
Wrapping up on Grey’s Anatomy Season 6 Episode 12, titled ‘I Like You So Much Better When You’re Naked’.
Right, onto Private Practice then. I am still in the middle of it so I may be commenting as I watch… or not. Stay tuned.
What did you all think about tonight’s Grey’s then?

Do you purchase clothes and such when you want them or need them? This is the question that I posed to the Twitterverse this week. The general consensus seems to be that most of us purchase clothes when we want and often over what we need. So here we are, putting our desires above our needs. When did we become so superficial? Or perhaps this is just how it is now. With new designer clothing as well as gadgets et al popping out every so often, I think that we have learnt to accept the fact that what we want is just as important as what we need. Perhaps sometimes even more important…
I decided to do some more research. At our local cafĂ©, I asked a bunch of girls if they’d skip food to save up to buy designer shoes and such and a lot of them confessed that they already do. I thought it could be just the girls so I also asked a few guys too at the bar later that evening; some of whom confessed to buying games, clothes, ipods and other gadgets over necessities.
I wondered, do we ever think about those in the less privileged countries before buying expensive clothes? But then of course my trip ended with a few purchases of my own so who am I to judge anyone for their shopaholic instints?
What do you think?
Over and out.
